Lot 4 Accommodation Camp Subdivision

Exact Civil Construction partnered with Qantac Pty Ltd (Qantac), a remote accommodation specialist, to deliver the civil works required for the Lot 4 Commercial Subdivision located in Blackwater Queensland. The Project involved establishment and construction of a 400-man worker accommodation camp, addressing the critical shortage of accommodations in the Blackwater region. This development is aimed at supporting the ongoing and future construction and maintenance activities at various nearby mine sites.

One of the remarkable achievements of this project were the professionalism and expertise in collaborating with the Client and the Pipe/Culvert supplier. The joint effort led to the identification and implementation of necessary design alterations for the specified pipe. This was critical in overcoming known supply shortages within the pipe design market, which had the potential to cause significant delays in the Project progress.

The scope involved execution of a substantial 10,000 cubic metres of bulk earthworks, shaping the terrain to the Project requirements. Following this, 12,000 square metres of sealed asphalt pavements were constructed to ensure durability and reliability of the road infrastructure.

Concrete works played a crucial role in enhancing the structural integrity, to manage water flow and drainage effectively, an extensive system was implemented which included installation of stormwater pipes and box culverts. Underground services and utilities were carefully managed to ensure the infrastructure was operational and met the highest standards of safety and functionality. This comprehensive approach enabled successful delivery of the Project, meeting all objectives and client requirements.

Furthermore, Exact Civil Construction further demonstrated its commitment to the local community by providing worker accommodations in Blackwater. This initiative involves maintaining eight local rental properties, reflecting our dedication to enhancing the well-being and economic resilience of our workers and the broader community.
