Exact Civil Construction has made significant strides in the expansion of tailings storage facility (TSF) project at the Pajingo Gold mine, as part of Minjar Gold's forward-looking operational strategy.

Commencing operations in mid-December 2020, Exact Civil rapidly mobilised and has kept up the momentum delivering the critical path, ahead of schedule, exemplifying our commitment to delivery excellence.

Exact Civil identified a need for suitable accommodation in Charters Towers Queensland and proactively undertook refurbishment of the historic Royal Hotel in, providing comfortable accommodation for the Project team.

A bustling hive of activity, Exact Civil set up essential facilities at Pajingo, including workshops, to support a robust fleet of up to 12 scrapers, four D10 dozers, and various ancillary earthmoving equipment. The on-site crew, comprising 52 operating and supervisory staff, reflects the scale and dedication invested in this transformative venture

The primary objective of this undertaking is to elevate the walls of the original Pajingo TSF by five (5) metres, thereby expanding its capacity for an additional 18 months of processing throughput and tails deposition. The new lift also incorporates buttressing of the current walls, aligning seamlessly with the final closure requirements for the operation.

Material sourcing is a key aspect of the Project success, with construction materials obtained from adjacent areas around the TSF and a newly established borrow pit in close proximity. This strategic approach not only ensures a sustainable supply chain but also demonstrates Exact Civil’s commitment to minimising environmental impact.
